Amen to adults allowing themselves to get bored! It's called unwinding. Your brain isn't full of the hamster wheel of life. And that's when the best ideas happen.
^_^ The protagonists of The Expanse name their space ship Rocinante. The books and the show are worth checking out if you enjoy SciFi and a classical reference or two (the authors - pen name James S. A. Corey - have fun with their references).
I love your newsletter - always get something out of it. On another note, I watched the documentary on Judy Blume last night. It was so lovely. I have never read a Judy Blume book. I don’t know if that is because I grew up in Australia in the 60’s and 70’s and we are just a tad conservative here but either way I wish I had read her work. It’s never too late though...
Thoughts about life and compost: Lee Hayes was the bass voice in the Weavers (Pete Seeger, Ronnie Gilbert, Fred Hellerman, and Hayes (and later, later Eric Darling stood in for Pete), the leaders of the first Great American Folk Music Scare. They hit the pop charts with Goodnight Irene and Tzena, Tzena, Tzena. (Great film of the Weavers here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tvo-78kG5I )
Hayes led a long and interesting life, and when he passed, per his wishes, his ashes were mixed into his compost heap. Bio here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Hays
And for the bike-curious (sorry), definitely test ride an e-bike if you haven't already. It might be as easy as using your local bike-share if you have one in your town. I haven't taken the plunge myself (I'm close, really!) but I'd swear I see an article like this once a week at least. It can even things up too if your riding companions are on different levels.
I'm wondering if I should get a pool since I like all of those genres of music you listed :D My exposure to cumbia is either secondhand (like Los Bitchos) or glancing—anything you recommend, maybe on the list below?

I struggled trying to read Seneca but maybe I should give him another try.
