The Black Count is great! i learned a lot about Napoleonic history - and corrected a few myths that Iād picked up along the way. The audiobook is quite good too.
In a previous marriage we did āFriday Giftsā for a short time. I loved it. Something small to find and gift to each other. He did not enjoy it as much as I did. I think a daily present to myself is a much better idea. I love gifts, surprises, and treats. Luckily, I know what I like (or what I want to try.) I am completely down for this!
I've been listening to "(I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea" a lot āĀ when I was a kid the record store in my small town had ALL the early Elvis Costello records somebody had unloaded so I would go every week and buy one with money I made at my job
Looking forward to your stop in CLE. Signed up this week at CCPL. Count of Monte Christo on PBS is really good - highly recommend it.
Your owl drawings remind me of the woodblocks you feature!
Come to Philly!!!!

Love me some treats! Iāve started doing exactly this when Iāve finished a difficult-for-me thing. Yesterday was pizza!
So excited for your book!
Meanwhile, we have Elvis Costello as a fine diversion. That performance isš„(and the audience claps politely...omg) thank you!

I recently picked up a copy of The Great Gatsby, which somehow I've never read. I think I know the story in general terms, but do I really? We'll see!
Also - great to see the owls again. š¦
I should re-read that!
At least it's a short one!

Love no.10! I wonder what this community would give themselves! (I would buy myself a book. Paperbacks are very affordable in India š
