Which translation of War and Peace are you reading? I want to read it, but I can't decide which one to read, and now I'm spending lots of time reading about reading War and Peace instead of actually reading it.
Oh, those Black Out Poems!!! Please, PLEASE think about doing a Volume II...They literally take my breath away--brilliant gut punches to put life in perspective. You are the best.
I usually have a Sharpie in the first kitchen drawer (the one with the flatware/cutlery) and I use it a lot to add information to stuff in the fridge or bags of whatever I need. It has become a kitchen essential for me.
But my husband (also reading it) and I have deliciously snarky conversations about the characters, and I can’t give that up. Gosh, you know what? I might be "hate reading" W&P.
such poignant blackout poetry <3

enjoy your summer reading!

Thank you for revisiting how to break in a Sharpie. That sniff at the end made me laugh out loud. Now I know I'm not the only one!
Thank you for re-sharing your chat with Beth Pickens! It's what I really needed right now in this moment (a la Mel Robbins!).
